An award-winning digital campaign for South Australia Tourism
In April 2016 we were approached by Fairfax Media to work on a new digital campaign for South Australia tourism.
Titled “Along the way”, the campaign promoted five captivating road trips to various iconic destinations throughout South Australia.
Creative design backed by stunning experience
Working in collaboration with Fairfax Media we implemented and launched an award-winning responsive website. The build was easily our most challenging assignment to date incorporating several interactive elements and creative visual effects. The home page, in particular, offers an extraordinary user experience whereby image-based elements and vector paths are only exposed as the user scrolls beyond a certain point. We were able to achieve this through the use of ScrollMagic, a powerful JavaScript library.
User-centered Design
Sitewide we incorporated an accessible fixed positioned navigation/menu system – located at the base of the screen. On the internal pages, we integrated numerous sticky based parallax sections. These sections either housed a collection of stunning photographs or itinerary information. Through a combination of JavaScript and Google Maps API, we successfully embedded an off-canvas interactive map pinpointing stopover locations.
